This was last Fri at my Neuro ophthalmologist. I was like, sooo…..those pictures are of comparable scale? Like, you didn’t zoom in on one? 🤣🤣🤣🤣😑😑😑😑 nope. Those are my optic nerves. That’s the first time I saw a pic. I believe them now 😑 Boooo. But so far, so good. Goal = get pressure on the L lower and stable. Time will tell. It looks good right now, but you can’t say anything definitive – however, my response to treatment is directionally correct thus far. Next follow up in 6 mo! Glad for a good check up 💗 #avmsurvivor #strokesurvivor #lifeismysport #learninghowtolive #shreddedgrace #opticnerve
I have been on inhaled steroids due to asthma for decades. My eye pressure has been elevated for “a long time” like 15 years. My regular ophthalmologist made notes that “that is her normal”. My VA neuro-ophthalmologist has been tracking my elevated eye pressure for the past seven years.
When I saw my new neuro-eye (at the VA) five months ago she asked if I was on any steroids. 😒 I told her about the two for asthma and she said oh, that’s why your average eye pressure has been elevated as in 27 – 28. She said that “breathing is important” 🤣 and that she would coordinate with my civilian asthma doctor (also female) on treatment options.
I also get the retina scans and peripheral vision test twice a year, due to the location of my “guest in my brain” and the eyes look healthy albeit the raised pressure. So far I have not been prescribed eye drops to control the pressure. Also, no “eviction notice” for my gust as he is staying where he is supposed to and not exploring the “neighborhood” nor “causing any issues”. 😁
I’m emailing you!
